Beer Sales Approved At Everal Barn for Music & Arts Festival

The Westerville Chamber of Commerce will be allowed to sell beer at the 45th Music and Arts Festival after city council approved Wednesday a request by Parks and Recreation Director Randy Auler to amend a 2016 ordinance that allowed distribution but not sales at Heritage Park.

The chamber plans to sell beer during an outdoor concert planned for Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Everal Barn as part of its 50th-anniversary celebration.

The Chamber must apply for a temporary “F” permit from the Ohio Department of Liquor Control which allows certain qualified groups to sell beer.

The earlier ordinance permits the distribution of alcohol during private events at the park. Alcohol sales were not allowed at any events.

Auler told the council that its approval of the change would allow future “F” permits for other “established non-profit community organizations located in and benefiting Westerville” to sell beer.
