An Abundance of Acorns

It would be near impossible to catalog all the great acorn populations this year in Westerville. Perhaps next year we should have a day similar to birdwatchers who spread themselves across a wide area and count the variety and numbers of birds they observe. There are great rewards in the data collected and great opportunity to share stories about previous hunts.

This was a great year for acorns and may be part of a masting as explained in the Wall Street Journal story last week.

The reason why isn’t important. It’s only important that you take time to enjoy the phenomenon with family and friends.
