Smashburger gives away hamburgers

A long line forms at Smashburger in Westerville where the fast food burger restaurant gave everyone a free burger to celebrate the chain's grand reopening.

Smashburger reopened its three local stores after they were closed for several months by the state because the franchise holder had not paid taxes.

The lucky recipients of this change in ownership were the people who received a free hamburger the first eight hours the fast food burger restaurants were opened. Customers in line when the store stopped serving at 7 p.m. received a coupon for a free burger at a later date.
