Speedway to close

A car leaves the Speedway at Cleveland And Schrock after a fillup. The station will close March 28 as Columbus manages the upgrades to the Cleveland Ave. – Schrock Road interchange beginning in about two weeks. Expansion of the intersection will take a portion of the station.

Is it closing permanently? Or just during construction?

Permanently, according to signs posted at Speedway.

Closing for good – With the city taking a large portion of the property they didn’t have enough real estate to stay there – Sharon Woods Metro Park is also giving up a few feet along their property line to this construction project – You can see the new property line based off the orange temp fencing inside the chain link fence around Sharon Woods where trees have been axed to help with this road project.
