Custodians prep for the first day of school
Teachers aren’t the only ones getting ready for school.
Mike Pierce is the head custodian at Walnut Springs Middle School in Westerville, Ohio. He has spent decades at the school and enjoys getting to know the students. Pierce and his crew have spent the summer cleaning up the building and getting it ready for another school year. He not only helps with lunch duty, but he also serves as a mentor to students, often redirecting them when they get off track.
