Blend Candle Co. is coming to 16 East Main Street in Uptown Westerville. The make-it-yourself candle bar replaces Michael David Salon which recently closed. No date for the opening has yet been set.

Everbowl, which describes itself as “Craft Superfood,” plans to open September 15 at 15 North State Street in the old Shirley’s Popcorn location.

The Westerville Uptown Review Board will hear a proposal tonight for erecting construction fencing around the old Post Office in Uptown where High Bank Distillery is converting what for 50 years was the city’s post office into an alcohol-serving restaurant with a basement speakeasy.

The Westerville Education Foundation’s “Grow And Glow” family festival is Sunday at Minerva Park Middle School, 5002 Fairview Rd.

Saturday, September 9, is Doggie Paddle at the Highlands Aquatic Park pools. Check the schedule to see what time your dog is permitted in the pool.
