George Paul Mackinaw of Westerville, Ohio, 80 years old, passed away Saturday, August 5. Preceded in death by parents, Martha and Paul Mackinaw, and wife Jenny Mackinaw.

Survived by daughter Barbara, son Paul, 4 grandchildren (Mackenzie, Madison, Sebastian, and Sabrina), and sister Marge.

Born during World War 2 in Bellaire, Ohio, George grew up right beside a coal mine on the Ohio River. After graduating from Shadyside High School, he attended Ohio State University and then immediately after graduation served in the US Army from 1967-1969.

When he returned home, he went back to where he worked throughout college, Huntington National Bank, where he met his wife Jenny. George had a long and successful career in banking. George was a devoted family man who always put family first and he will be dearly missed by all those lucky enough to know him.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 9 from 5-8 PM at Moreland Funeral Home in Westerville.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 10 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church located at 313 N State Street, Westerville, OH 43082.
