Oneca “Susan” Thompson, 75, of Lexington, formerly of Pike County, passed away Tuesday August 1, 2023, at her residence. Susan was born November 16, 1947, in Welch, WV, the daughter of the late Ernest and Carrie Peake.

She was also preceded in death by her only son, Everett Russell “Russ” Thompson, III. Susan was a retired blind and special needs teacher for Martin County School. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Nicholasville, KY.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Russell Thompson, Jr; one daughter, Kellie (Dale) Thompson Krantz of Westerville, OH; her daughter-in-law, April Thompson of Lexington, KY; one brother, Brian Peake of Belfry, KY; two grandchildren, Evan Thompson of Lexington, KY, and Pasha Krantz of Westerville, OH. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road, is in charge of the arrangements.
